This Week’s Worst Way to Waste Money

The auction website eBay is home to many strange and wonderful things. In the video game world it’s a place where collectors can find the rare item they didn’t know they were looking for.

Just last month an NES game called Stadium Events sold on eBay for $40,000. So it seems that people are coming out of the woodwork with their own “rare” games.

At the 1998 All-Star game, demo copies of the game 2Ball, an event that replaced the dunk contest that year, were passed out to everyone in attendance. Most people apparently threw their copies away, not having a Playstation at home to experience the definition of awful game.

That demo has recently appeared on eBay. Here’s video of the game in action.

Doesn’t it look like a “load” of fun.

With 8 days left in the auction, the bid now stands at $338. It looks like someone is actually going to buy this.
