The Synthetic Orchestra is known for creating orchestral compositions of select video game music. It is a project by Blake Robinson that has tackled a variety of classic games. Now he has turned his attention to one of the most atmospheric video game soundtracks of all time, Super Metroid.
Super Metroid Symphony is an hour-long 30 track album featuring all of the music from the classic SNES adventure. While there are certainly plenty of Metroid music projects as well as symphonic video game arrangements, the quality of Super Metroid Symphony and its focus on one of the greatest games ever made allows it to stand apart. The album is available through Joypad Records on Loudr and iTunes for $10.
