Cheap and Dirty Gamer: Supermagical Busts-a-Story-Mode

Supermagical

I’m going on a super magical journey to Germany this week and really needed a game to entertain me on the plane. It is more than likely a huge coincidence that the game I found for this particular trip was actually called Supermagical, but somewhere deep in my heart I believe some sort of mana infused wishing tree had something to do with it all.

The interesting thing about Supermagical is it has actually found a way to add depth to a game like Bust-a-Move by offering a story mode, items and even special moves. While all of this was nice and wrapped in a super cute package, I was just happy to burst some frigging bubbles. Well, the bubbles in Supermagical aren’t actually bubbles but evil (but also cute) creatures from the underworld called Minix. Your character, a witch named Nina, actually released all of them while trying to concoct a mystical brew of sorts. Nina is a bit stupid, but her heart is in the right place.

As much as I’d love to go into detail about why this game is entertaining, I can sum it up again with; Supermagical is an enhanced version of Bust-A-Move. There is rarely anything wrong with enhanced versions of anything so my thumb is extended and pointing straight up on this one.

Cheap and Dirty Gamer – Being cheap used to be an insult, but with the economy in the dumps it’s now a survival skill. Being dirty also used to be an insult, but that changed after Christina Aguilera’s song came out.  Not all gamers have the funds to play full priced games, but that doesn’t mean that gaming quality has to suffer. There are good free and cheap games everywhere, games specifically made for the sexy survivors among us.
