If your inner-child doesn’t start jumping up and down at this trailer for LittleBigPlanet 2, I feel pity for you and your miserable existence. Last week, news of the latest issue of Game Informer featuring an article on LittleBigPlanet 2 started to surface before the game had been confirmed by Sony. Today, everything is official and the game is on its way to a Winter 2010 release.
The big addition to the game that everyone is talking about (and the trailer focuses on) is that the game will allow you to create leaves and bundle them together to make complete games. The trailer touts that over 2 million levels have been created for LittleBigPlanet 1, and all of these will still work in the sequel. Bravo, Media Molecule.
For creatives, the sequel promises to add to the (already endless) possibilities opened up by the original. For the rest of us, we can’t wait to invite our friends over and see what adventures come out of this marvelous playground.
